Formerly known as the Division of Human Relations, the Division desired a logo indicative of their new name and long-standing mission to "promote and enforce laws against discrimination and foster amicable relationships among the diverse populations of Delaware."
The lowercase “i” in Rights creates a very simple shape of a person. This is in a light blue and represents Delawareans who may seek the Division of Human & Civil Rights' help.
The other symbol is a combination of an ampersand and a heart. The word AND/Ampersand is a statement in itself. The Division of Human & Civil Rights does so much for the State of Delaware and welcomes all marginalized groups.
