I had the privilege to collaborate closely with the talented researchers and writers at Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs (HCA) to develop a vital website dedicated to specifically LGBTQ+ history in Delaware.
My primary goal was to craft an easily navigable digital platform spotlighting the often overlooked narratives of LGBTQ+ individuals. My overarching goal was to allow the stories and stunning photographs to speak for themselves.

The colors, including what we refer to as the “Pride Line” in the logo and site design, serve as supportive elements to elevate these significant historical moments. Each color represents either a moment in queer history or an aspect of Delaware's overall identity.
Each color was assigned to either Delawareans, Places, Authors, Artists, or Documents to be applied through the site. For example, teal was assigned to "Places" so then that teal is applied to all the image thumbnails and accent line.

I applied this "Pride Line" accent to important highlight quotes as well. I was also responsible for the layout of all internal pages so that the images and text flow to tell the best story.
My personal favorite feature of the site I developed was a timeline that offers a more inclusive perspective that compares important moments in LGBTQ+ history in Delaware and where they fall across significant events in overall American history.
